Life Rarely Sings

I dislike most things. 

Spiders
Puke
Chapped lips
Hot weather
People kissing 
with no emotion
Pastel colors 
(although green can be pleasant on a good day)
Come to think of it
Green is quite a charming color.
It reminds me of 
tramping through the woods 
in the rain

Rain! 
I like rain.
Fog as well.
That’s when you get to see
The mushrooms pop out and
Whisper secrets to you
In their lilting sing song voices
As you sketch 
The stars
With your blue
mechanical
pencil.

Maybe
I enjoy life more than I remembered.
