The girls and I are getting into the car heading to Abuelita Remedios house. Velia, Delia, and Pita are going to the middle as I'm getting into the driver's spot and Juanita is heading to the passengers’ side. I don’t know why something feels a little off today but I ignored it. However, the time is about to hit noon. As I was getting in I started to hear some type of sound. I got into my seat and everyone was ready.

As I turned to buckle my seat belt, the girls and I saw a young girl with a yellow summer dress, curly light brown hair, and a white hat with flowers. She was walking pretty weirdly and her head was facing downward. She wasn’t paying attention to where she was going, so she almost bumped into a man.

As I turn the car on I'm wondering who that little girl is and why she was walking by herself. She seemed a little familiar. I began to drive and tried focusing on what I was doing. I start to hear whimpering coming from the way the little girl is at. I then stopped and she looked up. I said, “Are you okay?” She responded saying, “I’m scared and I have to walk by myself”. She had a high-pitched squeaky voice and she was talking with a whimper. I felt bad for her and asked ”Do you want a ride home?”

Without hesitation she opened the middle door and was almost fully seated. I heard loud screaming. I turned around and out of nowhere she was gone and there was a monkey. The monkey started attacking Velia with its fangs but it didn’t bite down for long. Delia got on the monkey and started to hit the monkey. Juanita started pulling the monkey's tail then the monkey started saying, “You spoiled brats. So spoiled to the point you leave your mom without her knowing. Your mom is overthinking and questioning things back home while you guys are here doing things y’all aren’t supposed to”. The monkey lets go and Pita comes out of nowhere stabbing the monkey in the hip with a tree branch.

The monkey starts saying “Don't get fooled and continue your trip without getting fooled it won’t be as easy this time”. It kept repeating “Don’t get fooled.” Then Velia started holding her wound while Delia was kicking the monkey to leave. The girl started to say “Don’t try and hurt me or it won’t be just me this time”. I told her “Go, leave, I don't want to see you again”. The monkey then turns back into a pretty little innocent girl. She starts heading out of the car and she slams the door shut and she goes to the sidewalk running away with her head dangling down. As she's walking away she starts screaming “Sorry, sorry, sorry”.

As she was slowly fading away and her voice started to get lower and lower, I sighed in relief knowing she wasn’t around anymore. We got back into our spots and the girls were asking who that was. I heard a voice like La Llorona whispering “La Segua, that was La Segua”. I then started saying “La Segua, La Segua how did we not know it was her.” Then Juanita made a face, making me think she had heard of her before. It was about to hit 1 o’clock. I then started to wonder why and what she came to do. I started driving away, still wondering what we did for her to come for us. I then started to rethink my actions. Thoughts were going through my head. I was questioning myself.
