Sacred sacrifice shall not mend the damaged cup––her attempts made in vain. Streams of stale, bubbly champagne slowly drain. A woman once strong, demeaned by stolen promises. An endeavor of adoration, dissipated by betrayal’s whispers, A man’s admission of guilt, tormenting her faltering ambitions.
